Facility upgrades

Electrical upgrades for older plants and shops, from new panels and lighting to rewiring areas that have outgrown their original layout.

Many industrial buildings have been through several owners and uses, and the electrical system shows it. Old panels sit next to new ones, wiring still runs to equipment that left years ago, and the lighting was never meant for the work happening under it.

We upgrade electrical systems in working facilities. Common jobs include replacing old panels and switchgear, removing abandoned wiring, upgrading high-bay lighting to LED, adding power drops for tools, and rewiring areas being converted to a new use.

How it works

We walk the facility with you, note what’s worn out or no longer fits, and help you sort the list by priority. Some upgrades can be done all at once. Others make more sense in phases, spread over planned shutdowns or budget years.

Each phase gets a written estimate before work starts. We schedule the work around production and pull a permit when the job needs one. As each area is finished, labels and panel schedules are updated to match.

Signs you need it

When to give us a call.

Any of these is a good reason to have us take a look.

01

Parts are hard to find

Old panels and breakers can be hard to replace when something fails.

02

Poor lighting on the floor

Dim or uneven lighting makes work slower and less safe.

03

Abandoned wiring

Dead circuits and old conduit left in place make it hard to tell what’s live.

04

A change in how the space is used

Turning storage into production, or one process into another, usually needs new power.

05

Recurring small problems

Repeated trips, warm breakers or loose connections can point to a system that needs updating.

06

An insurance or safety review

Findings from an insurer or a safety audit often call for electrical work.

How it works

From first call to power on.

The same four steps whether it’s a service call or a full rewire.

FAQ

Facility upgrades questions.

Can’t find what you need? Give us a call and we’ll talk it through.

(910) 736-6898

Can upgrades be done in phases?

+
Yes. Many facilities spread upgrades over several planned shutdowns, and we help you decide what to do first.

Will upgrades interrupt production?

+
Some work needs the area involved shut down. We plan those shutdowns with you and keep the rest of the facility running where we can.

Can you fix items from an insurance or safety inspection?

+
Yes. Send us the report and we’ll look at the electrical items and give you a written estimate to correct them.

Is LED lighting worth it in a plant?

+
In high-bay areas it often is, since it uses less power and lasts longer than older fixtures. We can look at your lighting and tell you whether it makes sense for your space.
