Havelock grew up around Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, and the base still shapes the town. Many homes here are rentals, and families come and go with orders. Landlords and property managers need repairs done between tenants, and buyers often have an inspection report with electrical items to clear up before or after closing.
That kind of work is a good fit for us: dead outlets, breakers that trip, missing GFCI protection in kitchens and baths, old smoke detectors, or a panel the inspector flagged. You get a written estimate first, so an owner who lives somewhere else knows the cost before we start.
Newer houses, different requests
Havelock also has plenty of newer subdivisions, and owners of newer homes usually call to add something rather than fix it. A Level 2 EV charger in the garage, ceiling fans, recessed lights, smart switches and a generator inlet are common asks. The panel in a newer house often has room, but we check capacity before adding load.
The town sits next to the Croatan National Forest, and storms coming in off the coast bring wind and falling limbs. Businesses along the main roads, from restaurants to shops that serve the base, call us for lighting, repairs and new circuits too. We try to schedule commercial work so it gets in the way as little as possible, and we explain what we found when the job is done.
