EV charging stations

EV chargers for employee, customer and company vehicles, installed with the circuits and electrical capacity they need.

More businesses are adding EV chargers for staff, customers or company vehicles. A commercial setup has to be planned around where vehicles park, how many will charge at once and how much spare capacity the building’s service has.

Level 2 chargers suit most workplaces and customer lots, where cars sit for a few hours. DC fast chargers need much more power and often a service upgrade, so they’re a bigger project.

How it works

We look at your parking area, your panel and your service, and talk through how the chargers will be used. Then we give you a written estimate covering the chargers’ wiring and any panel or service work.

Getting power to a parking area may mean trenching or surface conduit, which we plan around traffic and your hours. A permit and inspection are usually part of the job, and if the service has to grow, we coordinate with the utility.

Signs you need it

When to give us a call.

Any of these is a good reason to have us take a look.

01

Employees are asking

Staff who drive EVs may need somewhere to charge during the workday.

02

Customers park for a while

Restaurants, churches and other places where people stay an hour or more are common spots for chargers.

03

Company vehicles going electric

Fleet vehicles need charging at your site that fits their schedule, often overnight.

04

A new building or parking lot

Laying conduit while the site is open is much easier than cutting through finished pavement later.

05

Unsure about your capacity

We can check what your panel and service can handle before you buy any chargers.

06

More chargers planned later

If you expect to add chargers over time, conduit and capacity can be planned for them now.

How many chargers can our building support?

+
It depends on your service size, what else you run and how the chargers are set up. We work that out before we give you an estimate.

What’s the difference between Level 2 and DC fast charging?

+
Level 2 chargers add charge over a few hours and suit workplaces and customer parking. DC fast chargers are much quicker but need far more power and a larger electrical service.

Will we need a panel upgrade?

+
Not always. If your panel has the room and capacity, chargers can be added to it. If not, we’ll explain the options.

Can chargers go out in the lot, away from the building?

+
Yes. We run underground or surface conduit to the parking spaces and plan the route to keep disruption down.

Do you charge for a quote?

+
No. The estimate is free, and you get it in writing before any work starts.
