LED lighting upgrades

Switch the lighting in your shop, office, restaurant or church over to LED for better light and fewer burned-out tubes to replace.

Plenty of businesses still run fluorescent tubes, halogen lights or older high-bay fixtures. They use more electricity than LED, the tubes and ballasts keep failing, and the light gets dim or starts to flicker.

An LED upgrade can mean new fixtures, or LED retrofits that go into the fixtures you already have. Which way makes sense depends on the age and condition of your fixtures and how each room is used.

How it works

We go through the building room by room, count what you have and note what’s working and what isn’t. Your free, written estimate lists which fixtures we’d replace and which we’d retrofit.

Most LED work can be done while you’re open. We do one area at a time and clean up as we go, and offices and restaurants can often have the work done before opening or after closing.

Signs you need it

When to give us a call.

Any of these is a good reason to have us take a look.

01

Tubes and ballasts keep failing

If someone is up a ladder changing tubes every few weeks, the fixtures are costing you time.

02

Flicker and hum

Flickering or buzzing fluorescent fixtures are hard to work under and usually mean a failing ballast.

03

Dim or yellowed light

Older lamps lose output over time, so a room can feel dark even with every light on.

04

Mismatched light color

Years of swapping tubes and bulbs can leave one room with several shades of white.

05

Lights on all day

Sales floors, kitchens and offices lit for long hours are where older fixtures use the most electricity.

06

A remodel or refresh

If you’re already updating a space, it’s a good time to change the lighting too.

(910) 736-6898

Should we replace our fixtures or retrofit them?

+
If the fixtures are in good shape, a retrofit can be enough. If they’re old, damaged or wrong for the space, new fixtures usually make more sense, and we’ll tell you which we recommend and why.

Do LED lights use less electricity?

+
Yes. LED fixtures use less power than fluorescent, halogen or older high-bay lights for the same amount of light. How much that changes your bill depends on your fixtures and your hours.

Do we have to close while you work?

+
Usually not. We work one area at a time, and work before or after business hours can often be scheduled.

Can you include our outdoor lights?

+
Yes. Wall lights, entrance lights and other exterior fixtures can go on the same estimate.

What does an estimate cost?

+
Nothing. We walk the building and give you a written estimate for free.
